Therefore the philosophical question of what "adulthood" really signifies begun. Does it refer to an age where someone is physically classified as, "you have grown like a big man," therefore he is an adult? Or does it refer to a person's state of mind or his characteristic rather where he projects the vibe of an adult? What is that vibe, really?
Some says, "everybody can be an adult but not everybody matures."
Aha. . . that's the word, "mature!"
What do you have to do to be considered matured? Do you have to act in certain way when talking? Or do you have to make your own money? Do you have to be in a relationship?
This is a transitional phase in life when a person is experiencing a sudden change in every little thing. All of a sudden, he is detached from a life that he used to have (i.e., care-free-ness) and now he has to start caring about every little thing such as how do I respond to a situation and what should I do in a situation of A, B and C.
This is also a time when he is expected to start thinking (or even doing) what he wants to do with his life? Sure there are parents, but referring to our definition of adulthood, dependent towards parents should be avoided, otherwise we are just kids in the body of grownups.
Decisions are made and consequences started to show its never-seen-before look. Your virgin mindset is immediately shocked by this strange feeling. You are there to fight and you toughen up hoping things will get better and that's adulthood. Or is it?
