Giving A Word About "The Words"

Three different stories narrated by 2 narrators (one from reality and other narrator is a character within the story that the first narrator is telling) and all those crazy beautiful things are packed in one piece of artwork. What a tremendous idea.

I gotta admit that I'm so crazy about everything that related to writing world. That typewriter, I wanted to own it so badly. My grandpa used to have it. Back then I was out of nowhere about this world. I have no idea how to value something. Until here I am, I finally found what I really
like in this life and it also wakes up and tells me that's something that makes move. I have nothing yet but I'm on my way to get there.

I think there are some processes in this life that can make your life feel like truly living:
1) You know what you like. As I said, that should be something that make you move.
2) It doesn't mean that when you found what you like you are arrived. It's just the beginning of your journey. You have to find and to identify which paths are you going to pass through.
3) If you are not lost then you'll make your way to your victory.
And, I am now is on the first level. I'm still working on my little homework, without forcing myself too hard, to find the path of my own.

So the movie starts in medias res. It's about a young man that thinks he knows what his life is going to be but the truth doesn’t seem as what he has thought. He wants to be a writer and he really devoted himself full time to that kind of world for about two years. When the book finished he has to face the fact that being a writer is not as easy as it seems. He goes back and forth to publishing agencies but none of them gave him a satisfying feedback. One publisher says his book has something on it. But again, they are not only looking for a good writer that has deep messages in his book but also someone who can make their pocket filled up.

Life goes on. From the beginning of the movie he already has a lover. And, at this particular scene they got married and went to France for honeymoon. Here is where the story started. They were shopping to an antique market, the man sees a good briefcase and find it very attracted. The wife bought it for him.

Back in the US. When he was about to put his things to the briefcase, he found something that turned out to be a manuscript of an unpublished novel. He reads it over and over until finished. He keeps thinking about that over and over until one night when he has no idea why he did that but was retyping that stories to his computer. He has no intention to steal that story. Just, his fingers want to know what it feels to write an extraordinary story.

Shortly, he shows that story to the publisher and his book got published. Soon he also won a book prize. The conflict started when he met the real writer of that story. He wasn't demanding him to reveal the truth but wants him (the fake writer) to know what is the story behind that book. But it surely makes the fake writer's life terrified and losses his peace of life. Finally he tells the wife the truth.

Oh ya, what makes him so sure to show that manuscript to the publisher is his own wife. She accidently opened his laptop and read the story. The story amazes her and urges the husband to publish it. Now she knew the truth and get disappointed but she still supports him for whatever he is. Even more, she also inspires him to move on with his life.

What makes this movie so special is this part, the whole story above is narrated by a different actor that happens to be a writer. He is now presenting his book in front of podium. He once says "It's okay to ask many questions even though you may not know the truth." And surely, for the entire hours, while watching this movie, we keep asking what's gonna happen. Once it fulfilled other question is coming up. Even when the movie has ended we are still stuck on that question. Either the story that the narrator has been told is his own personal story or it's just fiction.

Again, three different stories packed in a decent art piece called movie and it really nailed it. Highly recommended.

Moral of the story :
Character one : the old man. He deserted his wife for her mistake, she lost the manuscript of her husband story. He couldn't find it until he gets old. The time he found it, it already belongs to other people. If we question why he could accept the fact that his work has stolen by other people without having any intention to take it back, is because he has learned through all his life that it's worthless. Since he has lost the person that inspired him to write.

Character two : it does terrify him but again all people make mistake. "Move forward!"
